The Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy College of Education is one of the prestigious Institutions of the society. It was established during the academic year 1972-73, with munificent donation made by Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy 51st Birthday Celebrations Committee. It was a long-felt desire of the Managing body of the society, to start a College of Education to serve the needs of the Education Institutions of the twin cities in particular and the state in general. This was fulfilled in the year 1972, when permission from the Government and Osmania University were accorded to start the college of Education, with an intake of 150 students. The Academic Council of Osmania University at its meeting on 30th March 1983, granted permanent affiliation to this college. The college classes are accommodated in the premises of the main building of the society.

The college has completed 36 years of its existence, and is progressing well in its academic and other activities.

The College has two models schools, one for English Medium and the other for Telugu Medium. It is seeking cooperation from some other schools in the twin cities for students teaching programme and other experimental projects.

The college has a language laboratory to teach the language with the help of modern equipment.

The college offers one year Bachelor of Education Course (B.Ed.) affiliated to Osmania University. All admissions are made through entrance examination (EdCET). The college reserves 20 seats for Marathi language methodology.

The college has a library with more than 5000 books under various titles. It also contributes to Journals and Magazine.

The college has established a computer lab with 20 systems of P4 configuration, wherein the trainees are guided to develop computer lessons in school subjects.

Achievements during 2010-11

The academic year of the last batch 2010-2011 has started on 23rd August 2010 and completed last instruction day on 26th May 2011. Students have completed all academic activities as per almanac of Osmania University successfully.

As a part of project works students visited special schools, Juvenile homes and economically backward areas to get practical experiences. Students have conducted Education, Health and environmental programs in these areas.

Almost all the faculty members attended the seminars/work shops/Orientation courses and served the university and several organizations as resource persons.

Last year 101 students appeared for the exam and out of which five Distinctions, 36 first divisions, 40 second divisions were secured 9 pass division. The percentage of result is 90% which is top achievement among the affiliated Colleges of Education.
