Dharmaveer Waman Naik Junior College for Girls

Dharmaveer Waman Naik Junior College for Girls (Formerly, V. V. Jr. College for Girls) was established in 1980 to cater to the needs of Higher Education for Girls of middle class section of the society. The college is rendering yeomen services by imparting education to the students of Intermediate classes for the last 27 years in English Medium. During the last 27 years about 12,000 students have gone out of the portal of this college. This institution provides skill based as well as value based education to the students.

Late Smt. MuktaBai Naik gave a generous donation of Rs.1 lakh in memory of her husband Late Shri Dharmaveer Waman Naik in 1986. Subsequently Shri K.S. Valvekar donated a sum of Rs.1.71 lakhs in memory of Late Smt. MuktaBai Naik. The foundation stone for the college building was laid by Shri G. Narayan Rao, the then speaker of A.P. Legislative Assembly in the presence of elite gathering.

The college has spacious, well furnished lecture halls with modern equipments. It has a library with little over 3 thousand books of various subjects, catering to the needs of students as well as faculty. The college also has a reference section in the Library. Science laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Bootany & Zoology are fully equipped with adequate Instruments Chemicals, Microscopes and other accessories.




All the faculty members are fully qualified, well experienced and dedicated. They take keen interest not only in teaching but also in organizing co-curricular activities. They offer valuable guidance to the students in planning their future course of study.

The college celebrated its Silver Jubilee in 2005. Shri Sushil Kumar Shinde, the then Governor of A.P. inaugurated these celebrations.

  4. Inter Bi.P.C.(Biology, Physics & Chemistry)

In addition the college organizes Spoken English Classes, Personality Development Camps, Literary & Cultural activities and Sports and Games.
